About Us

Is it weird?
Do you get an excited thrill in your stomach when you browse through the stationery section of a shop or catalogue - or is that just what happens to Jenny (which is a bit of a worry if that is true)…

Jenny's dream
Ever since Jenny was a little girl, her dream has been to open her own stationery shop. But, as is the case with a lot of dreams, we tend to believe that they can only ever be dreams.

When a dream becomes reality
After achieving a university degree, and working as Customer Services Manager for an international designer sportswear company for five years, Jenny decided she wanted to be her own boss (don't we all!!). That is when Jenny thought of setting up a business doing something that she is passionate about - stationery. But, the question was, how to set it apart from the same old stationery...

The image that started it all
Imagine this scenario - a woman dressed in a crisp, black suit, killer heels, and subtle jewellery. She reaches into her bag and pulls out a boring white file pad. Now imagine the same woman reaching into her Audrey Expanding Five File Tote, and pulling out a Moderno Journal in juicy red leather. Which image do you think will impress those around you and more importantly, which would make you feel more professional and ready for anything?

What's it all about
From this idea, Jenny's business of Dress your Desktop was born. Women nowadays are so conscious of their looks - clothes, shoes, bags, jewellery are all seen as crucial parts in achieving their ideal image. So why not have stationery accessories that are stylish, functional, and of a high quality - products that you want to carry around with you as part of your outfit, or keep on your desk to let your personality shine through in your working environment. This includes not just the business woman or student, but also the mum who is working hard at home looking after the family.

The glue that holds it all together
Thomas, Jenny's husband, is the other half of the team. Thomas is a man of many talents - he is the overseer of the entire business and a great sounding board for ideas. Most importantly of all, he is also the one who keeps Jenny's feet on the ground when she starts to get a bit carried away when selecting new stationery products (I want that, and that, and that, and that....)
